Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who served as the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009), the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011), the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki then was appointed the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the communications director to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she was there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
